We are in need of a Business Analyst to be part of a team to create and bring innovative financing options to enable customers to acquire solar power. It’s a great opportunity for anyone with an interest in finance, the energy market, and working in a rapidly growing Silicon Valley start up.
The successful candidate will have the ability to balance data gathering, analytics and communication skills to create & present financial insight to customers, financial partners and to SolarCity teams.
Reports to VP of Customer Financing. Based in Foster City.
Required Skills/Experience- Relevant university degree (MBA or CPA desired but not required).
- Analytical background with financial concepts like IRR, ROI and various debt instruments.
- 4+ years financial analysis and reporting in Investment or Commercial Bank, CPA or Management Consulting firm or Financial Planning and Analysis organization.
- Strong/Demonstrated analytical & problem-solving skills.
- Must be advanced at Excel and Proficient in PowerPoint.
- Solid systems/process orientation.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Project management experience a plus.
- Personal integrity, accountability and initiative are a must.
- Strong team player who can interface with Sales, Marketing, Finance and Customers.
- Self-starter with excellent communication abilities and a passion for solar power.
Beneficial Skills/Experiences- Experience creating financial products for construction industry.
- Familiarity with tax credits, leases, loans, municipal financing mechanisms, and consumer credit.
