We are seeking a strong Systems Engineer who enjoys building out high capacity networks in a high volume production environment. Your background will include strong Microsoft, Networking/VPN familiarity, a creative approach to problem solving and troubleshooting, and the ability to stay calm and focused while doing so.

• Deploy and manage an ESX VMWare windows network in support of our new multi-site architecture
• Manage network infrastructure, including our firewalls (Sonicwall), routers, switches and VoIP phone systems
• Ensure all network equipment and systems are kept up to date with security patches and upgrades
• Ability to Create project plans, document network and system infrastructure
• Troubleshoot and resolve network and system issues escalated by other Solarcity Tech Ops staff
• Manage and support multiple systems, networks and VPNs
• Train Jr. Techs on new technologies to improve support to our clients

• 5 years of experience as a leading contributor and systems engineer
• Strong experience with Windows 2003 Server, VPN’s, Networking, VMWare ESX, Active Directory, Exchange and Backup Exec
• Previously implemented multi-site networks
• Familiar with protocol analyzers and packet sniffers (Ethereal or NAI)
• Excellent issue resolution skills
• Great at communicating ideas and designs to a wider group
• Previous experience in a Senior position for at least 3 years
• Good understanding of Linux/Unix, SQL Server 2005, VoIP phone systems
• Experience with Exchange 2007, econnect and great plains a BIG plus
• Any startup/fast growth experience a plus
